Two really bad plays that took away from a great performance and potentially winning a job, so thats really too bad.Given that the Broncos open the regular season on a Thursday night, at least three days before the other games, Kubiak said he wants to name the regular-season starter next week.The Broncos close out the preseason Sept. 1 in Arizona. When asked whether he envisioned a scenario in which all three of the quarterbacks would be forced to play in that game, Kubiak said I dont envision that, which suggests that whoever is named the starter for the season likely would sit that one out.Kubiak also added Monday that he had planned for the possibility that the competition behind center could go this deep into the preseason.I expected it, I expected it, Kubiak said.
